🌱 Where TESTIX comes from
TESTIX was born from a simple belief: we live in a time when we communicate more than ever, but know each other less and less. Between the messages that pile up, the Instagram stories we scroll through without reading, and the voice notes we only half-listen to, relationships widen on the surface but thin out underneath.
We wanted to create a simple, fast, free tool that reverses this trend. A pretext for two friends, a couple, a family to take 5 minutes to actually ask each other things. Not deep philosophical questions — just concrete, playful, but revealing ones.
The quiz format isn't random. For decades, magazines and platforms like BuzzFeed have proven that people love discovering themselves through tests. We just took that format, flipped it (it's not you who define yourself, it's your friends who try to guess) and made it 100% customizable.
🎯 Our mission
Our mission fits in one sentence: bring people closer by creating excuses for conversation. TESTIX isn't a social network, isn't a competitive game, isn't a matching tool. It's a trigger — a little catalyst that sparks discussions that might never have happened.
When a friend realizes they didn't know your favorite meal after 10 years of friendship, there are two possibilities: either it's an insignificant detail we forget, or it's a sign we stopped asking the right questions. In both cases, the realization feels good.
When a couple discovers they each have a different vision of their ideal Vibe, the conversation that follows is often worth more than any couples therapy session. That's the kind of moment we want to create.
🛠️ How it's built
TESTIX is a website, not a downloadable app. We chose this approach so anyone can access it without friction: no store, no permissions, no updates. You click a link, you play.
The site works on all devices (mobile, tablet, desktop) and is optimized to work even on slow connections. You can also install it as an app on your phone (PWA mode) if you want it at your fingertips.
On the technical side, we use modern open-source technologies. The site is hosted on Vercel, data on Supabase. No personal data is sold, no aggressive ads are served, and we chose a minimalist funding model (a few discreet ads) so we can stay 100% free.
🔒 Our commitments
First commitment: free forever. TESTIX will always be free. No paywall, no premium version, no hidden subscription. Core features (quiz creation, sharing, results) are and will remain accessible to everyone without restriction.
Second commitment: your privacy. We don't ask for your email, your phone number, or your address. We only store your first name (or a nickname if you prefer), your answers, and a unique quiz ID. No data resale, no aggressive tracking, no useless cookies.
Third commitment: simplicity. We could add badges, levels, rewards, global leaderboards. We won't. TESTIX must stay a simple, fast tool that does one thing well: reveal mutual understanding between people who know each other.
Fourth commitment: transparency. If we ever change something important (privacy policy, terms of use, business model), we'll let you know clearly. No hidden fine print.
